I can remember a time I wouldn’t allow myself to eat this donut that I wouldn’t think twice about now. The amount of “sugar” would make me turn my nose up like I was too good for it. But the thought of the donut wouldn’t leave my mind until about midnight when I’d be stuffing my face with anything and everything I could find to fill the void of the donut I wanted to badly but didn’t allow myself to have.
If I would have given myself permission to eat that donut and not restricted it, obsession and binging wouldn’t have occurred. Restriction is not kind to the brain. Be kind to your brain (and yo self) and eat a donut. 😋
Now for the DONUT DEETS 👇🏼🍩
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup almond flour (@bobsredmill)
1/4 cup @nuzest_usa coffee protein
1/4 cup @ancientnutrition keto cocoa powder (code TARYN20 to save on ancient nutrition products)
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup coconut sugar
1/4 cup almond milk
1 egg (or flax egg)
1 tbsp melted coconut oil
DIRECTIONS:
Mix all ingredients into a medium sized bowl. Transfer to greased donut pan and cook in oven at 350 for 15 minutes. For the icing I melted 1/2 @lilys_sweets chocolate bar with coconut oil and poured it over the top. Then top with the amazing @nutsolaofficial superfood mix. ENJOY 💛
