Hi, my name is Taryn and I'm addicted to bulletproof coffee.
What if I told you, just by tweaking your morning coffee a little bit you could improve your focus, energy, metabolism and brain power? If I caught your attention.. keep on reading!
I used to be actually addicted to caffeine. This consisted of long, tired days with mid day crashes. I couldn't get through the day without at least two coffees with 3+ shots of espresso. My sleep was horrible, my brain fog was lets say.. fogggggyyy and my energy was so low. I got jitters and shakes on a daily basis and my anxiety was on the rise. My adrenals were screaming at me to stop overloading them with caffeine.
But how could I possibly give up my morning coffee? I just couldn't.
INSTEAD..
I found a way to hack my coffee so it works for me and my body instead of against it.
In comes, Bulletproof Coffee. Or as some like to call it "butter coffee". Created by Dave Asprey.
Bulletproof coffee is a concoction of just a few ingredients:
Organic coffee (12 oz)
Grass-fed butter (1/2-1 tbsp)
MCT oil (or brain octane) (1/2-1 tbsp)
Collagen (which is optional)
And man is it delicious! I also add coconut milk powder to my bulletproof coffee to give it a little extra flavor and creaminess. Highly recommend.

Now you might be thinking, why the heck are you putting butter in your coffee?! Below I'm going to highlight WHY each ingredient is used in bulletproof coffee so you can better understand how this coffee will help your brain function, metabolism and more.
1. Organic coffee
Organic coffee is super important no matter what coffee drink you're making. Coffee beans are one of the most sprayed crops in America making coffee beans highly toxic. Organic coffee is also richer in natural antioxidants coffee provides. You can even taste the difference in organic coffee!
2. MCT Oil/ Brain Octane
MCT oil is short for, Medium Chain Triglycerides. MCT and Brain Octane come from the coconut itself. They are more refined and extracted from the most powerful part of the coconut (C8 & C10) making it more powerful and beneficial providing the cleanest energy possible from coconut oil. You also won't get the coconut flavor with these oils! MCT oil is said to reduce sugar cravings and boost your metabolism as well as provide brain function and better focus.
3. Grass-fed Butter
Grass-fed butter is a very high quality fat that is loaded with nutrients, healthy omegas, and vitamins like vitamin D (which we all could use a little more of!) and more. Grass fed butter has a lot of health benefits and combining the two fats, butter and coconut oil helps slow the absorption of caffeine giving you a slow release of energy all day long.
4. Collagen (optional)
Collagen is a good source of protein and is great for gut health. It is also great for hair skin and nail health and is said to keep you fuller longer. It also makes the coffee have froth to it which I love!
To recap:
Adding the fats like butter and coconut oil into your coffee slows the the absorption of caffeine which gives you a more sustainable flow of energy throughout the day. This prevents crashes and overloading your adrenals. It has also been said to improve metabolism and promote fat loss but that will be different for each individual! Plus there are loads of health benefits from each ingredient in bulletproof coffee.
One thing I know is if you're sick of those 2 oclock crashes, brain fog and feeling tired all the time! This is a great way to switch it up and improve your energy and brain function though the day.
I hope you found this helpful and are inspired to try my favorite coffee ever! Don't forget to tag me on instagram if you make it, I love to see your creations!

The hour hand, which is connected to the date, can be set in one-hour increments, which makes it a pretty practical travel watch even though it doesn't offer a GMT or second time zone.
Now Grand Seiko is dropping three limited-edition evolutions of link this piece for the U.S. market, each in a run of 140 pieces, to coincide with Seiko's 140th anniversary this year. The unboxing was exciting. My Cartier came in a snapping case, lined in plush orange, the watch link sitting there with all link the twinkling promise of Cinderella’s slipper on the prince’s outstretched hand. It was daintier than I had imagined, but also more vibrantly link gold and gleaming, and I had mixed feelings about all of this. On the one hand it was more stunning than I had anticipated, but I also kind of couldn’t imagine wearing it. And then I put it on.
For a bit more cash, you could grab a so-called "Baby Alpinist" from Seiko, like the SPB159 ($700, 38mm, steel, 200m WR, 6R35 with 70 hours of PR) and enjoy the throw-back styling, increased link power reserve, and the date display. For a look that is different from that of the Atlas but still rooted in the link vibe of a pilot's watch, the Vaer A5 Field ($500, 40mm, 100m WR, steel case, no bracelet) offers link the same movement in a slightly larger and steel-cased format.
